Inspiring the Next Generation of Manufacturers in Portage, Wisconsin

Empowering Students Through the MINI MANUFACTURING WORLD Program

Students participating in MINI MANUFACTURING WORLD program get hands-on experience at Saint-Gobain Portage.

At Saint-Gobain Medical, we’re committed to building a better future—not just through innovation in life sciences, but by investing in the next generation of talent. That’s why our team in Portage, Wisconsin, has partnered with local high schools to mentor students through the MINI MANUFACTURING WORLD program.

This initiative is designed to spark interest in STEM education and manufacturing careers, offering students a hands-on introduction to the world of modern manufacturing.

Simulating Real-World Manufacturing with LEGO and Interactive Learning

The MINI MANUFACTURING WORLD program uses LEGO-based simulations and engaging activities to replicate the full manufacturing process. Students explore how different departments—from design and production to quality assurance and logistics—work together to bring products to life.

This immersive experience helps students understand the complexity and collaboration involved in manufacturing, while also developing problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Building a Better Future, One Student at a Time

We’re proud of the role our Portage team plays in mentoring and inspiring young minds. By sharing their knowledge and passion, they’re not only shaping future careers—they’re helping us fulfill our vision to build a better future
