Saint-Gobain Filtration (formerly ZenPure) specializes in development and manufacturing of filtration and purification products and specialty membrane devices for a wide range of industries and applications. Saint-Gobain manufactures filters and membrane components of any size, fitting type, and configuration based on a global portfolio of filtration membranes and media combinations.

Saint-Gobain’s capsules and cartridges are manufactured in both industry standard and customer specified formats in Class 100,000 or 10,000 Clean Rooms. Filter technologies range from small disc capsules and cartridges to capsules with full size cartridges. Saint-Gobain welcomes manufacturing plant audits. We are a Quality Transparent organization open for in-depth Quality System review and provide full material traceability. We work closely with client customers to optimize standard filter system performance and to co-design new and unique filter formats. Saint-Gobain also offers many different cartridge and stainless steel housings.

About Us

Saint-Gobain Life Sciences filtration business, (formerly ZenPure) is based in the United States of America with manufacturing, design, development, research and engineering in Hangzhou, China. Saint-Gobain Filtration was founded as ZenPure Corporation and ZenPure (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd. in November 2002, specializing in fast track, “Turn-key” solutions for standard and specialty filters and membrane devices for a wide range of industries and applications. Saint-Gobain has established a reputation of providing reliable, unique, efficient, and cost effective design, development, and manufacturing services to our customers and strategic partners. Our turn-key capabilities have assisted our customers’ efforts to quickly and effectively introduce new and better products into their markets. Saint-Gobain can design, develop and manufacture filters or membrane devices of any size, adapter type, fitting type, and configuration (Pleated, depth, discs, capsules), based on different filtration media, including, PTFE, PES, Nylon, PVDF, PP, PE, Cellulose, Cellulose with Diatomaceous Earth (DE), Cellulose Acetate and more.

Company Information

Customer application support and supply chain logistics are managed at the Saint-Gobain facility in Gaithersburg, MD, USA. Saint-Gobain’s depth of quality and engineering management experience was gained in membrane filter manufacturing and application in the USA and Europe. We combine these skill sets with manufacturing competitiveness and excellence in China where our facilities are managed by US and Chinese managers highly qualified in the design, development and production of filter cartridges and capsules. Our products meet or exceed industry requirements such as those required by FDA, ISO and USP. Saint-Gobain is certified to the following standards: ISO 9001: 2008. QM System focused on meeting customer expectations and delivering customer satisfaction. ISO 14001: 2004. Environmental Management System. ISO 13485: 2003. A version of the 9001 standard developed for the Medical Device Industry. GB/T28001: 2003 Occupational Health and Safety.

Quality

Saint-Gobain filtration quality systems and production controls, materials and material traceability all meet Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceutical and Medical Device filtration product standards. We receive customers for audits at our manufacturing facilities frequently and develop manufacturing validation reports when necessary for your specific production / product needs. Adapting Quality by Design whereby the functional properties of the filters we manufacture are aligned through knowledge of the application in which they will be used results in fitness for purpose, safety and efficacy. A policy of Quality Transparency gives our customers full disclosure on the quality we put into design, development, production, validation, supply, application and support.

Medical Devices

Saint-Gobain's Engineers work hand-in-hand with our customers Engineers and Scientists. Our goal is to develop new filtration technologies or to adapt existing filter formats to meet specific custom needs. Technologies include fluid clarification, particle size reduction and sterilization filters for both gas and liquid applications. Our filters are widely used for equipment or processes in healthcare, bio-medical / medical devices, diagnostic and research instruments and machines, laboratory purification for bench-top, lab air, gas, water and many chemistries. Filters are manufactured in ISO 13485 compliant facilities.

Custom & OEM Designed Filters

Saint-Gobain specializes in design, development and manufacturing innovative filtration and purification products and membrane devices for liquid and gas applications. Our fast-track, cost effective product development services allow our customers to achieve rapid time-to-market with their new and unique products.

Saint-Gobain works with large and small companies to design develop and produce custom products. We provide service from concept and prototype through to production. Saint-Gobain's ability to provide our customers quickly with products that excel in their specific applications drives our rapid growth. The success and satisfaction of our customers is our highest priority. In close cooperation with customers and material suppliers, we are able to research, evaluate, and select the right membranes and construction material for the target applications.

Saint-Gobain manufactures OEM filters for many client firms including the worlds’ leading membrane filter cartridge makers.

Disposables for Life and Biosciences

Meeting all industry standards for critical filtration products, Saint-Gobain manufactures the most extensive range of connections and flow geometries for filter capsules. Our objective is to make filter use easy, reliable and effective for biotechnology, biopharmaceutical processes, disposable biocontainers and bio-bags. Hydrophobic and hydrophilic membranes with specialized filter media are optimized through deep experience and novel research in clarification and sterilization for single or multi-use applications. Saint-Gobain's partners with most top-tier independent biocontainer and tube set providers.

Saint-Gobain’s medical products are distributed exclusively to medical device manufacturers for use in the manufacture, assembly or distribution of their medical devices. Saint-Gobain cannot authorize the sale of its medical products directly to device user facilities (e.g. hospitals, surgery centers, nursing home, clinics, etc.), nor directly to end users (e.g. patients, patients’ caregiver, prescribing physician, nurse, pharmacist, etc.), including distributors serving device user facilities and end users directly. In accordance with every jurisdiction globally, Saint-Gobain’s customers are responsible for determining that any medical device they manufacture and market that incorporates a Saint-Gobain’s medical product, is compliant with each country-specific medical device regulations and has received proper country-specific clearance, certification or registration authorizing the sale of this medical device.


Saint-Gobain’s medical products offer covers:
- Medical Components [21 CFR 820.3(c)], intended for processing or use in the manufacture or assembly of medical devices before the finished medical device is packaged/labeled; Medical Components are intended to be included as part of the finished, packaged, and labeled device [21CFR820.3(c)].
- Finished Devices [21CFR820.3(l)] made on behalf of medical device manufacturers [21 CFR 807.20(a)(2)] under contract-manufacturing agreement. In accordance with the United States’ jurisdiction, Saint-Gobain complies with the FDA’s requirements for contract manufacturers of finished devices.
