We take pride in providing molded and extruded products for the most demanding applications. Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has expertise in silicone molding and extrusion, as well as extensive experience in extruding materials ranging from PVC to thermoplastic rubber to custom formulations. We also have the ability to provide confidential contract fabrication of silicone medical device assemblies. Using our global network of facilities, we are able to partner with companies which span the globe to provide the highest quality of products and most valuable manufacturing we can to our customers. Our facilities include: Akron, Ohio - Specializing in Thermoplastic Extrusion Akron is an ISO 9001:200I registered TYGON® and thermoplastics extrusion facility located in Akron. Since the 1940s our Akron engineers have produced over 3000 proprietary formulations that make up the TYGON® family. Akron has extensive development and testing laboratories dedicated to advancing the versatility of thermoplastic elastomer products available to the medical market. Beaverton, Michigan - Specializing in Silicone Molding, Extrusion and Assembly As an ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001:2000 registered facility, Beaverton is a silicone molding and extrusion facility located just two hours Northwest of Detroit. The facility molds and extrudes silicone products for the medical, pharmaceutical and laboratory markets and features two packaging clean rooms of ISO classes 6 and 7. Our Beaverton facility is also cGMP complaint and FDA registered. Charny, France - Specializing in Silicone Molding and Thermoplastic & Silicone Extrusion Located Southwest of Paris, France, our Charny facility specializes in extrusion and molding of silicone, elastomers and Tygon® for use in medical applications. Thanks to a large inventory of standard silicone and Tygon® products and sizes, delivery of those products can be made in just a few days. This ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13488 facility boasts an ISO class 7 clean room for platinum-cured silicone component manufacture and both an ISO class 6 and ISO class 7 clean room for packaging. Clearwater, Florida - Specializing in Thermoplastic Extrusion C-Flex® products are developed and manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in Clearwater, Florida that is FDA-registered for the production of medical devices. This facility has passed extensive audits from some of the largest pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in the world. Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics controls all manufacturing operations in compliance with CFR Title 21, Sub-Part 820, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs); is subject to audit by the FDA; and is also open to ISO 9000 audits by customers wishing to validate C-Flex tubing for their application or Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics as an approved vendor. Lyon, France - Specializing in Silicone Molding & Extrusion Located just outside of Lyon, France, this cGMP facility produces silicone medical components and finished products. This ISO 9001:2000 registered, ISO 14001 and EN 13485 certified facility includes ISO class 7 and ISO class 8 clean rooms dedicated to producing custom surgical products and our own line of SilMed® and SilMedic® silicone products. Northboro, Massachusetts - Research & Development* As the headquarters of our Research & Development, our Northboro facility is an integral part of our team. Northboro is a state-of-the-art facility with extensive capabilities focused on supporting our manufacturing and development teams, as well as our customers, with everything from product and material development to product testing. Portage, Wisconsin - Specializing in Silicone Molding & Extrusion Our Portage facility boasts state-of-the-art medical silicone molding and extrusion capabilities. Located a half-hour north of Madison, Wisconsin, this facility is ISO 14001 and ISO 9001:2000 registered, as well as cGMP compliant. Our Portage plant employs the latest technologies in molding automation and process control and features multiple ISO class 8 clean rooms. SUWA, Japan - Specializing in Thermoplastic Extrusion Located in the Nagano Prefecture of Central Japan, our SUWA facility extrudes a variety of Tygon® formulations for our Asia-based customers. In addition, the plant stocks and distributes Tygon® for quick delivery and is ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001 certified. Taunton, Massachusetts - Specializing in Silicone Extrusion Just one hour south of Boston, is our Taunton facility, our primary medical extrusion facility. This is ISO 140001:2004 certified, ISO 13485, cGMP and FDA registered facility manufactures a wide variety of platinum and peroxide-cured silicone extrusions for the medical and pharmaceutical industries. This facility boasts an ISO class 7 clean room for extrusion and component manufacture.
