Many times, after the components have been molded and tubes have been extruded, our customers require that we assemble these into single configurations that are destined for use in surgical or specialty treatment procedures.

As a full service custom-fabricator, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics provides all current state-of-the-art assembly techniques in each of the categories listed below:

• Bonding and Insert Molding for joining or gluing components together.

• Dipping and Encapsulating for smooth flash-free and crevice-free surfaces.

• Slitting, Punching, Beveling, Tipping and Porting; all to assure proper flow and insertion characteristics as required by the application.

• Silk-Screening to apply custom images, date codes or logos for identification or instructions.

• Functional Testing of various critical aspects of the final assembled part can be done prior to QC release to our customer to a specified QPL or to 100% inspection.

• Automation plays a key role in the handling and quality assurance of the final product. We have developed automatic handling, in-process vision systems and automatic packaging for ship-to-stock programs.
